off the OptiCal software?
I'm not using OptiCal software, but if it behaves like most other monitor
calibration utilities, than the startup application needs to be enabled in
order to load the calibration onto the video card (the profile has nothing
to do with the calibration). Also, check to make sure you aren't in the
middle of a video LUT war. You might have some other application trying to
load it's own LUT, like Adobe Gamma (check your Extensions Manager and see
what else is in the startup folder, and control panels to make sure Adobe
Gamma is disabled).
I would say contact the makers of the software and describe your problem. I
suspect that the startup application only runs once at startup, and
therefore should not interfere with the normal operation of your system.
Maybe try the macFixit forums?
Best of luck,
