I've had very few problems with the unit. Have you tried doing this on more
than one machine to see if there is any kind of USB communication issues?
You might try trashing the entire application and preferences and reloading.
I've never even seen this "Border Patches" message but on a few occasions
I've seen the other error but usually a 2nd try gets a good reading.
