Inkjet/RIP questions....

  • Subject: Inkjet/RIP questions....

I have a customer with an Epson 3000. Six users, low to medium output (less than 500 prints/month) They want/need better color accuracy, and I'm wondering if you think this would be a good one to keep, but just upgrade them to a better RIP than the Stylus RIP. do you have any thoughts on this?
What is your favorite RIP and why? (anyone)
My goal here is 90-95% accurate color proofing on a budget. I will use colorsync workflow and profile the output and input devices, of course.
I just don't do this enough to know the fine details and the current products tree. Even if someone could give me a place to start digging, that'd be great.
I will summarize for the list.
TIA.
