RGB profiles use fixed channel settings; CMYK profiles allow you to control
ink limits, black generation, dot gain and other such settings yourself. As
long as the fixed settings are doing a good job, RGB profiles are simple and
effective; when you need that extra control, CMYK profiles offer it.
