profiling a Docucolor 12 with fiery rip

Xerox basically told me, concerning the color problems with the Doc 12 and
fiery, that there was no way to control the color. If you want to be able to
profile or have ANY control over color correction, you have to spend more
money and get a better copier.

I have tried both RGB and CMYK profiles. RGB colors come out less dark and
with less magenta, but still no where near what I'm specing.
