I did find that the problem was not present using Gretag
Profile Maker. So the problem is most definitely in the output profile.

Whether the ICC specification is cloudy on 16 bit implementation or 16 bit implementations are cloudy on the ICC specification is a matter for long discussion, I'm sure -:).

With the Adobe CMM and ProfileMaker 315 the problem is fixed. But the use of other profiles and other CMMs in the chain may revert this. Eventually everybody will implement the same way.
