Avoid the Fiery RIP.
But what other choice is there as far as color copiers are concerned? Does
anyone make color copier RIP that is CM compatible? BTW, you used to be able
to turn off the Fiery's color mangling by setting both "RGB source" and
"CMYK simulation" to "None." Does this not work with the latest Fieries
anymore?
Unfortunately there is often not much choice.
You can turn off some aspects of color simulation by this method but
the RIP will still do its CMYK->RGB->CMYK trick we love so much.
My favorite solution to this issue is to profile it as an RGB device
and then use a color server in front of it to convert document RGB or
CMYK values properly to the Fiery profile.
