Try profiling it as an RGB device. Most Fiery's seem to internally
push CMYK through RGB and back. This thrashes the black channel as
you can imagine and mixes up profiling software that thinks it has
control over black.
I will reiterate. Until someone actually shows me a Fiery RIP that
does color the way the people on this list want it done (ie
properly). Where there are no internal conversions to RGB, where you
can turn off both the input and output profiles for running targets,
where I can specify my own simulation and paper profiles, and where
the CMM does a reasonable job of the conversion. Until then I will
repeat it over and over.
Avoid the Fiery RIP.

But what other choice is there as far as color copiers are concerned? Does
anyone make color copier RIP that is CM compatible? BTW, you used to be able
to turn off the Fiery's color mangling by setting both "RGB source" and
"CMYK simulation" to "None." Does this not work with the latest Fieries
anymore?
