The ColorVision Spyder would be the likey affordable choice for calibrating
your monitor (other sytems work too, they just cost more). One monitor
setting is fine for both RGB and CMYK work, Photoshop with take care of the
rest using your output profiles. The Gamma control panel should be shut off,
and the ColorSync panel ignored. Monitor profiles are selected in the
Monitors control panel, and reflected in the ColorSync one. Other settings in
the ColorSync panel are not really used for anything, so may be ignored.
