Problem lies with spooling that takes a long time. First if you print to
the background the postscript file is spooled to the desktop printer. Once
spooling is completed then the postscript file is transferred to the HP
(Scanvec Amiable) RIP starts RIPing the file. Finally after RIPing the file
printing begins.
Would there be any less of a speed problem printing raster images out of
Photoshop or do you always need to feed this printer Postscript files? I've
always enjoyed to speed of Epson printers when printing from Photoshop.
