I've had no problems with the EyeOne with fluorescent papers. I haven't made
as many profiles with my Spectrocam (older non UV) but didn't notice any
issues with it either. In fact, I seem to recall when it first came out, a
big deal was made that due to it's light source, there were no UV issues
(raising the question about a newer unit being necessary).
The EyeOne seems to have a removable front piece but I haven't forced the
issue in trying to unscrew it. It looks very much like the Spectrolino
design. But again, I've yet to see why I'd have to remove it (so far).
