On the Seybold site you will find a presentation by a mathematician
whose name I forget. It describes the mathematical construction of a
printer profile, but not the quality of the gamut compression smarts.
Whether the one or the other grid point / resolution technoloy is
best, this is nothing I can see make a difference on the print, the
proof or the monitor.
Just as long as it is not like the original ICM implementation where
the CMM supported very few grid points, or current profiles that have
low resolution, too.
