I've profiled both printers. No problems at all.

I'm at a loss to explain why you are having issues.

Are you seeing a yellow appearance on your output profiles?
I've been following the 'UV or not to UV' filter threads, and also the above
mentioned 'problems' and I am thinking that everyone maybe talking about
very different issues.
For me, I have a DTP41 without a UV filter, and have had issues with the
Epson 9000 dye inks and the Epson Semi Gloss stock. My issue has been that
the output goes yellow and also gives an overall 'over saturation' look.
This changes happens between 0 hours and 72 hours.
Looking at the - b values in the paper white in PrintOpen Edit, there did
not seem to be a high negative value (as others have reported, when scanned
with my DTP41) and I also tested a friend's DTP41UV, and we could not tell
the two outputs apart.
What we did do what to switch to the BEST 6150 for the Epson 9000, and this
stock has the same visual difference after about 10 minutes.
Both papers are the same price.
As for the Epson 10,000 and their pigment inks on their Premium Semi Gloss,
the profiles I built with my DTP41, are fine in the standard office lights,
but give a nasty green cast in the gray balance in the viewing booth.
I am waiting to test the new BEST dye and pigment paper.
