I have three CRT screens here, two Mitsu's and a Sony. The newest 2060 is
good, nice and flat. The other is the equivalent of the other Blue eye 21".
A little distorted as it had slightly curved glass, but perfect colorimetry
even better than the new 2060. The Sony has been the best quality in terms
of geometry and meeting expectations of what a monitor should do. The real
issue though is the video card that drives the monitor. So if you really
want to do color correcting on screen the choice of Video card is very
important. I'm noticing all sorts of anomalies with this Nvidia MX card. Why
couldn't there be more possibilities for Mac's as the PC world has?
So to recap: the monitor will be well calibrated with the X-Rite yet not
better than the card(s) and driver (s).
