I have been printing files on a combination of ink and paper with a
provided profile. The images needed a slight tweak in color to print
correctly but they had been fine.
I went back to using this combination after some down time and have been
having trouble with images coming from a new source.
The new source is a Nikon D-1x, file format is .tif... The file views fine
under the default CMYK setting in Photoshop after being imported with NO
attached profile. My default RGB setting for photoshop is my monitor
profile, it seems to closly match the genric RGB Colorsync Profile with a
slight density shift.
Once I select view under the printer profile the image has a wild color
shift that i can9t seem to correct. there seems to be a color density
reduction. I pride myself in color correction so i am a little perplexed
with this one.
Files coming from both my drum scanner, flatbed and other digital camera
print fine. Any one have any idea what could be happening. I don't think
the images have profile info imbedded that would cause clashing
profiles.
Any input forwarded appreciated...
Allan
