Then you simply copy the profile from the System
folder to System (your choice of several access levels to place it at...
There are three locations where you can install profiles, though two of
them are easier than the third. Home, Library, and System.
~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/
This means go to your Home folder, there's a folder Library, in that a
folder ColorSync, in that a folder Profiles. The "~", or tilde, means
home. Each user has their own home folder. Only the current user can
see profiles here.
/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/
This is your boot volume, folder Library, folder ColorSync, folder
Profiles. All users can see profiles here. All users can add profiles
here. This is the easiest place to put profiles for everyone to use.
This is where applications should install profiles.
/System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/
This is your boot volume, folder System, etc, etc. All users can see
these, but it's not easy to add profiles here, you have to enable root
user and log in as root, or use the terminal. Basically you don't need
to put them here, use /Library instead. The idea is that everything
under /System is for the OS, and is protected so users don't
accidentally toss important files.
