I have a method that may help you determine which of the standard RGB
editing spaces is "closest" to the response of your camera, at least WRT the
ColorChecker chart. I am NOT saying that this is a valid metric for digital
camera evaluation, so please don't put those words in my mouth. I have an
Excel spreadsheet on my web site that will compute the differences in RGB
space between your camera values and the "ideal" RGB values for each of the
24 ColorChecker patches in each of the editing spaces. You may find this
useful.
