Well the Spyder is a much better piece of hardware with better software and
cost less. Other than that...

Both should work equally well with the Sypder/Optical assuming both create
the same quality output profiles. IOW, that portion of the equation doesn't
have to come from the same vendor. Do you get a better "deal" with the
bundle? I haven't used EZ for quite some time but early versions had the
unfortunate ability to clip highlights and shadows.
