I am getting conflicting reports on weather or not to use the TW setting or
the BL setting on the bottom of the DTP-41 when reading paper swatches into
PrintOpen. Or does it make no difference.

Always TW (Transparent White) cf http://www.iccabc.com abcB and ECI guidelines at http://www.eci.org.

There are still some folks out there who can't figure out this white or black in color thing -:).
