Lighting changes

Anyone have opinions on the color merits (and other aspects) of the following sources of office illumination: 5000K fluorescent tubes, Solux 4700K, and Ott-Lite? I'm considering rewiring my Graphic Design office, and would appreciate feedback.

And while I'm on it, any suggestions for mitigating the effects of afternoon sun? (Are one kind of blinds, like accordian pleat, more effective than another?)
