I've used ProfilerPRO for CMYK profiles with the DTP41 and the SpectroCam. I
find the results to be at least comparable to what I can get with anything
else I've used. Running PRO with a SpectroCam is convenient and fast, and
the only complaints I would have are those that pertain to using a SpectroCam
in general. The question with ProfilerPRO really comes down to special
features and added functions for specific uses that might not be available.
But it does include a pretty thorough list of ink limit and black generation
functions, and I don't really expect an output profiling package to offer
source profiling, monitor profiling, profile editing, or specialized targets
for profiling presses with multiple targets across the print width... and
I've been happy with the profiles ProfilerPRO builds for a range of RIPs and
PostScript printers, and even a press or two.
