Hello Juris,
I didn't understand the measurment values. How many measurments did you
without UV Filter? Was the Measurment everytime the same and what is about
the other Colors?
The Epson Photo Quality Glossy Paper has many Brightners and this effects,
that your Paper White Simulation is to Yellow if you measure without
UV-Filter, but this you can change with PrintOpen 4.0 PC.
One Tpi from me, if you measure the Proofpaper with UV-Filter than you
should measure the Referece with UV-Filter too. All Profiles from BEST
Germany are measured without any Filter and I think our results are not bad.
BEST regards
Ulf

Betreff: difficulties with base linearization
Hello Ulf,
I get some difficulties with base linearization in best color 4.2. The
problem is with measurements in 30. patch of yellow. I guess that 30. patch
of all colors is just the papaer (there is no ink at all). So measuring ours
paper (Epson Photo Quality Glossy Paper) all measurements are OK except 30.
pathc of yellow where, I thought should be something like 0.03, but measured
(with Gretag's SpectroScan and without UV filter) density is about 99.000
(or something big like that becouse I don't remember exact value). Measuring
with UVfilter that patch gave 0.09 density (all ather colors was about
0.03!).
There was't such a problems with Epson Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper, so I
guess there is something wrong with this Epson Photo Quality Glossy Paper.
Do you have any suggestions?
thanks,
