4 months ago, after testing out one of these displays, I brought in 5 of
these monitors for those of my staff doing the most critical color for our
catalog work and book jackets. I redeployed their 21" ColorSync displays and
PressViews for less critical work. Calibration and profiling was done with
ProfileMaker and a SpectraLino. The results were excellent. While it's
possible that this monitor cannot outperform higher end CRT's, not one of
these users would switch back. The biggest reason they give is that there is
far less eye strain after a day's work. I've began doing critical color
work on CRT's since 1980 starting with Hell Chromacom systems and can say
that there is a long term negative affect on your eyes, not to mention the
headaches associated with it. With the recent price drop, I might just get
one for everyone.
