I'm used to profiling PressReady RIP with my Epson 3000 and Matchbox has
generally done a great job. I have a new ESP 7500 and while I'm
waiting/researching a RIP for it, I'll have to settle for the Epson RGB
driver.
I know one must send an RGB file to the Epson driver or you will get a
double conversion. If I pick "inkjet printer" in Matchbox profiler the
symbol shows it as a cmyk profile. Am I misreading the symbol and
assume matchbox knows that most standard inkjet drivers are RGB? The
only RGB symbol for a printer I can find is for a cmy device which I
would assume is not an appropriate choice for my 7500.
Just to add to what Mark said, be sure to follow the instuctions for
"non-chooser level printers" in the manual to generate an RGB, not a CMY
target.
