This is what many magazines and such do. But it is not really correct. I
can easily make a profile that has close to dE 0 fault, still in practice
it would be completly wrong with faults >dE 30 for most colors.
The problem is, that you shouldn't test a profile with the "calibration"
colors used to make a profile. Because the approximation/interpolation
function used for the color correction in the profiling software might not
be "smooth".
So what you need is an IT 8.7 target for making the profile and another
target with different colors for "testing". Of course, the "calibration"
and "test" target should be made on the same material under the same
conditions. Also, you might consider choosing the test colors on their
visual importance. If you need such a pair of calibration and test target,
let me know.
