Hello List!
I'm using the same method as Steve Upton suggest. But I got strange result using LC6.0. Using LC I got overall max deltaE 5.06 and more, but applying the same profile in ColorLab via ICC conversion I got only 3 deltaE. I
used all kind of rendering and always got delta 3 <E<4.5 and using Logo's engine even less than with ColorSync conversion. Any comments? Ideas?
In my experience deltaE of IT8 for transparency profiles doesn't say much about its quality especially if you scan on high-end drum scanner. I'm using Tango with profile that has deltaE 5.06 and can't say it's good enough.
And even if I have had profile with deltaE < 3 I don't think I would get result near to what I got with Topaz profile for reflection original. Now I got profile for reflection with deltaE 1.25, but even with deltaE 5 my
reflection scans looked closer to original, than scans from Tango (transparencies) now. I didn't get great success using standard method for creating profiles for slides. I used SpectroScan T to measure IT8 slide and then
create profile using PM3.1, but visually all scans looks darker than slides on lightbox. Can't say that profile is bad. As I said before, it's deltaE = 5, I think that reference is darker than should be. Can't say that
colors are far from original, but it could be better. Could somebody suggest any way to solve this problem?
