Yes, If I were you I'd go for the Spectrolino with Spectroscan. Actually
it's some kind of package consisting of the Spectrolino -- which is the
Spectrophotometer itself -- and the Spectroscan which is an X/Y table
allowing you to measure a whole complex chart automatically instead of
having to read in every patch manually.
As far as I know the SPM series (which you also can use as stand-alone
devices using their integrated displays) are the best money can buy --
but outdated, kind of "dinosaurs" (and even more expensive than the
Spectrolino/Spectroscan combo). Additionally they're manual devices!
Both the Spectrolino and the SPM series share the same measurement
technique and system. You can expect a very high repeatability between
measurements and, perhaps more important, between various Spectrolinos (I
have two of them and regularly compare the results, average Delta-E/ab is
smaller than 1).
