Profiling Kodak 8670 printer

Can I improve on Kodak's generic 8670 profile if I create custom profiles using
ColorVision's Profiler RGB? I am about to purchase Monitor Spyder w/Photocal
and I was wondering if I should get it bundled with Profiler RGB. Or, would I
be better off getting a profile editor, such as Doctor Pro, and tweaking the
Kodak profile?
