Has any one tried out OS 9.1. I installed it on my home machine as a
test and have run into some display problems. First, due either to
the new ATI drivers or the new Monitors control panel, only a very
limited set of resolutions and refresh rates are available. I've
tried all the usual fixes Zap P-RAM, trash display preferences etc...
The only fix I've found is to boot with the monitor shut off, and
that fix only works once, restart and your back to the limited list.
My install is on a second drive reformatted prior to installation
over a fresh install of OS 9.0. In addition, my custom monitor
profile (made with Optical) does not show up in the Color dialog and
thus cannot be selected. I updated ColorSync to 3.0.1, 3.0.3 is still
no where to be found. I tried making a new profile just in case 9.1
was confused by having the same profile selected in two different
system folders (my 9.0.4 system remains unchanged on another drive).
When I go back to 9.0.4 all is well so the problem lies in 9.1. Any
other experiences?
