Last time I tested the iProof RIP (nearly a year ago now) it was necessary to
insert your custom profiles into proxy blank slots (names like profile 1,
profile 2...) in order for the PPD to find them. This still left a number of
issues unsolved, and did not offer reliable custom profile press proofing,
though it may well have done the job for canned press profiles that shipped
with the program. A lot can happen in a year, so all this may have been
corrected by now. Until they can offer good screening it is rather a moot
point to me, so I have not followed other developments closely.
