1. I am certainly not aware of anyone who makes a negative IT8 and the
general consensus is that is not duable.
2. I have had great luck with color negatives using a Nikon LS-2000 which
works very well with various Kodak and Fuji emulsions. Personally, its color
management system works better, IMHO, with color negatives than
transparancies. I have minimal experience with the Imacon...but has
successfully scanned negatives on it as well. However, if its for newspaper
work...the Nikon is hard to beat..at least for me.
