That's because marcom deptartments used up their quota of superlatives
in the early nineties. <g>
(Dan Margulis is correct in that regard.)
But to cut marcom depts. a break (having lived in the nether region
between marcom and the color scientists), color management is a science
of incremental improvements, but it's hard to market an incremental
improvement. How far would a company get with a tag line: "our
perceptual renderings desaturate less than our competitors!"
