Do you mean you are using 2.2 for your Mac system gamma?
Or
You are wondering of changing the gamma of Adobe RGB?
It seems to me - if I used 2.2 as a Mac system gamma -
that would lighten an image.
Then putting the white point of the monitor at 6500 -
would yello - flatten - darken an image.
( depending on the monitor)
Then somewhere you must be compensating for that.
For what I have "seen around" a Mac system common
setting is 1.8 at 7500.
If you are in a captive environment - and you are getting
what you need - fine.
If you need to see how your system is doing -
make film and - analog proofs from film - and compare those to your
original and monitor and lazers.
