Yes. I've seen/have several and they all exhibit this characteristic to a
degree. One thing I also find very annoying is the black flocking material
that lines the envelope for the DCChecker. It gets all over the patches and
is difficult to completely brush away. I'd rather store the chart in an
anti-static poly envelope of some sort but haven't taken the time to come up
with one yet.
As far as taking readings of the chart, I generally create 3 sets of
measurement/reference data, each read from a slighty different location
within each patch and average them. Seems to work OK.
