;-0 "Bleu" in french means "blue" and also means "beginner". I'm new in this
mailing list and a beginner in Colorsync use.
I would like to shortly introduce myself to all of you and apologize in
advance for all the silly questions i'm going to come up with.
My name is Patrick, I'm 50 in October and have been a professionnal
photographer for the past 30 years. My specialty is landscapes and studio
still life. I went digital, first with a scanner then with a camera, during
the last 2 years and discovered Colorsync by attempting to use it (don't
laugh, you pre-press pros) with Nikon LS 30 and Silverfast on a PowerMac,
OS8.6 and on Imac, OS 9.1, printer Epson 1270.
Hello to all.
My first silly question :
When I scan, I set Silverfast to embed my printer profile in the image.
Now when it opens in Photoshop 5.5 or 6, photoshop converts it to
adobe98RGB(My choice).
Why and what happens to the printer profile when I save the image after
corrections. Is it still embedded?
Maybe I should get directions to some good websites for first approach...
I tried on my own and this seems more like a detective's job, I get tiny
bits of information here and there and no real overview of how the damn
thing works !!!
I promise this is the last message of this size !
Have a nice day :-)
