It's really not too bad. Not exactly my idea of fun. But you won't screw
things up to the point you can't reboot the computer.

The trick is to write down the exact location of the custom ICC profile and
put that path in the appropriate window per Fraser's instructions. When you
UPDATE the profile save it with the same name so everything trickles down
nicely.

You got it correct.

Go to your color settings and under the RGB pull down menu you should see on
the top your monitor profile listed.

Navigate to the start-up folder to delete the Adobe Gamma loader.exe.
(start-programs-startup) You can right click to delete the file.
Hope this helps you out. Not exactly a walk in the park but definitely do
able.
