Does the Leaf Camera capture in CMYK or RGB?
If it is like most digital cameras, the original file is captured in RGB
and you
don't need a RIP to send it to an Epson printer. In fact, it has been
the
experience of most of the people on the Epson 2000P listserv that
Epsons, in
general, work better directly from RGB files, allowing the printer's
software to do
the conversions to it's 6 colors of ink.
I think a RIP is only needed (using an Epson printer) if you are
simulating a 4
color proof for a printing press or printing graphics with the images
(like a
postscript files). If you are just using the Epson for out-putting
photos the
Epson 2000P or the 5500(P), from RGB files you are best off doing it
directly, with
no RIP.
