I would have serious doubts that your printer over there has any idea
what SWOP is. SWOP is all about "web offset." Unless you're printing on
a publication web in the US it would have little to do with anything.
In fact, SWOP has lot a lot of meaning here in the US.
I would venture a guess that the printers over there are more closely
aligned with "eurostandard" than SWOP.
A quick test would be to compare the color of their magenta printing
ink. There's will appear more "bluish" as compared to the warmer SWOP
magenta. There yellow will probably be more transparent and more of a
"chrome" yellow to use an artist term.
I battled this for years in a printer who used Toyo inks and proofed
with SWOP matchprint. The colors of the ink created vibrant blues and
deep reds but murdered oranges.
