Gun Balance and color temperature seem to be inseparable. Using Photocal
with my 900u, I can get gun balance as close as I want by changing color
temperature - but what is that telling me? Am I better off setting the gun
balance or the color temperature (the guns balance at over 7000K)? If I had
gun controls rather than just color temperature, how could the net effect be
any different?

This is simply not true. If there are no controls over the actual gun
