This is often the case with monitors that only balance the red and blue
channels, leaving the green fixed. This is analogous to a teeter-totter,
where you can move the ends up and down, but the only place you can balance
the system is at the fixed height of the center post. In this situation you
may need to cheat and lower the brightness a bit, or if this is insufficient,
use the 6500 preset (imbalanced as it may be) and let the RG&B curves to do
the balancing.
