I'm looking to use a densitometer to measure C-M-Y-K ramps and adjust a
simulation with an in-RIP curve. I'm presuming you can print out the ramps,
measure what's coming out, then subtract the values and place that in the
curve editor; e.g. 5% C prints out at 3% C, so adjust the curve from 5% to
7%, and so on. Several friends have shared the KeyWizard will allow me to
get densitometric readings from my Spectrolino.
I know I could edit the profile instead, but let's say I want to pursue this
methodology -- is this an intelligent way to go about it?
