My question: Has anyone here used and compared <snip> the new print
profiling packages from ProfileCity?
Both icc Print CMYK (which has full control over black generation and
ink limits) and icc Print RGB make excellent profiles. The downside is that
they are separate modules but the upside is that they both start with a
Linearization Target, that after measurement, is the basis on which 5 Profile
Targets are built. After they have been printed and measured you will have
some pretty cool profiles.
Another less expensive option is ProfilerPro from ColorVision. This builds
either CMYK or RGB profiles. These are also very good profiles.
For both these software packages, you will also need to purchase a
Spectrophotometer.
