If I get new glasses, is there a certain kind of lens to
ask for that would be best for color work?
Me too. In off-axis viewing, meaning not looking directly through the
center of the lense, some colors are refracted more than others. It's
real obvious with multicolored text on a black background, but of course
it happens with everything in your framed field of vision. An
optometrist recommended my current high index glass lenses as being the
least succeptible to that, and they are thin, but it's still
noticeable. Disposable contacts are tolerably comfortable and
completely solve the aberration problem, but they're still a hassle so I
seldom use them. I've just learned to look out of the center of the
lenses if it's critical.
