Hi all,
We make our scans with ColorQuartet software, and save them as RGB.
But when we open the scans in Photoshop and check the RGB values, there
are noticeable differences. The same color space isset in both software
packages, there are no conversions done in Photoshop.
The differences can be as high as 5 values between the two. This
obviously makes it hard to get reliable scans. To circumvent the problem
we now save them as 16-bit files, open in Photoshop and do the final
adjustments there, but that really shouldn't be necessary.
Colorquartet is at 4.2.something, Photoshop at v.6. I also downloaded the
latest version of Colorquartet from the web, but it had the same problem
(and more: the new version crashes regularly on our 450MP mac).
Any idea what's going on?
Thanks,
Wim
