Of course, in those days, nothing about color management was said, but I

Am I right?
Yes, this is using metamerism to check the lighting. Kodak makes a small card
called
the Kodak Color Viewing Light Selector that works in the same way. There is a
series
of stripes that in a 5000 K light with a high CRI (Color Rendering Index)
appear as
a solid color. If the stripes are visible, the lighting is not close to 5000 K.
This card
is marked as Catalog No. 845 6022, Kodak Publication No. P3-180. Check with
your
Kodak dealer or at www.kodak.com for availability.
