Edit the profile of the proofer, NOT the final device.

I find that when I do cross rendering, it's not at all unusual to have to do
some rounds of profiling tuning to get the proofer to better match the final
output device. Usually it's selective color (pull some yellow out of the
reds, etc). So what you are experiencing isn't too unusual as long as the
first print out is pretty close.
