In theory you can linearize before profiling but so far you have to print
out a target and reduce your inks by hand until there is graduations in all
the tones up until black. If Andrew says the Tecco papers are not available
in the US then your obliged to order directly from Best. I can tell you that
it's excellent proofing paper, and Best have done all their paper stock
profiles with linearize tables that work incredibly well out of the box.
Puts Epson Dupon Chromalin paper to shame if you want a press simulation. I
use Epson paper with paper white but this isn't the ideal. I'll have to
order some paper soon.
