For contract proofing, the best combination we have been able to find
(although it has its price) is the HP5000 (better print quality than the
Epson 9000, faster than the Epson 9000, and the inks don't change color as
quickly as the Epsons do), along with Colorproof to print your jobs and do
color management.
Hmm ... try the HP5000PS with GretagMacbeth iQueue 140 in front for
size -:). I'm happily playing and learning these days.
In order to work with full pages that mix grayscale and CMYK objects
(PostScript and PDF 1.3) you must use ProfileMaker 3X profiles, or
optionally Printopen 4 profiles.
