I have been trying it. As distributors we have all the nice gadgets. Nice
program isn't it - iQueue? For most uses it is excellent, but for what we
understand as contract proofing there are certain issues which are not
addressed with this configuration. To keep this short, I will just mention
a few. Just two days ago in a demo, a customer wanted to print Delta Export
files - impossible to send Ripped data to the HP5000PS. Yesterday, a
packaging customer needed extensive support for spot color simulation
(especially golds, etc.) - no spot color database in the HP5000PS. A CTP
client needed to have absolutely no dot on the proofs in the 1%, 2% and 3%
areas because in their offest prints, these areas are empty. While I don't
think it would be impossible with ProfileEditor, it is difficult and would
probably take some trial and error to achieve this while keeping the 4% at
4%. With Colorproof it is as simple as going to the dot gain tables and
putting the value you want in.

Regards.
