I was also very sceptical regarding this printer until 1. I first saw it
working and then 2. got one. I have the luck of having the Epson 9000 and
the HP5000 side by side in our demo room and have done hundreds of tests
with Best, Fiery, Harlequin, and other Rips as well as with dozens of
papers. If you get a chance to test you may be surprised. It is not God's
answer to wide format - but, you will find that... The HP5000 has better
print quality than the Epson 9000, is faster than the Epson 9000, and the
inks don't change color as quickly as the Epsons do.
